What is My Watershed?
What is a watershed?
Rain or snowmelt that does not evaporate or soak into the soil runs over the land to a lower point. This land which the water ran over is part of the watershed. Also included in a watershed is the point where the water collects. That point is usually a ditch, stream, wetland or lake.
Watersheds may be small areas of land the drain into small streams
